January update

Just like the bear, I'm winter hibernate and things go slow.. Today for the fist time in months it was some daylight when i left from work, and it''s so nice to know that spring and then summer is coming back :-)

Our little princess just become 7 moths and she is the must beautiful little girl..

I noticed that my Russian blog friends Kyle & Svet bought them selves a new toy, a mobile phone with camera. So now Kyle is running around in Moscow shooting every thing and every one :-)

Just want to welcome him to the world of mobile blogs, and hope to see allot of nice pictures..

Last weekend i participated in a planing meeting with work, we visited a nice place called Froland in Samnanger we stay at the Ciderhuset (site in Norwegian, but worth a look) a private hotel who is rented out to company's who need staying and privacy. A beautiful building who is situated in between the mountains in west of Norway.

 

 

At Saturday, before we went home some of us went for a long long walk, fresh air after a late evening is always good.

That's My World - Bergen city

I have had some day of from work and today i vent for a morning walk. It has been a cold but sunny day, and we have been out for two long walks today.

First of all, a picture from my neighborhood. As you can see, the sun is shining..

This next 4 pictures are of a monument for the Norwegian sea trawlers who trough all time since the Vikings, in War and peace had their work and living at sea.
It's a seven meter high monument located at Torgallmenningen. Made by Dyre Vaa (1903-1980) in 1950. Consists of 12 statues and four relief in two heights.

Then we are back to my favorite place. Bryggen (Bergen Harbor) this time i did as you can see, in B/W  

  

When i was down at the  harbor i met these two guys, they where enjoying the morning sun and the morning drink. It looked like something stronger then beer :-)

Bergen history lesson..

 Vikings..
Yes we are the Vikings, and we are always ready....

 

 Noo. I'm just joking.

This one is a replica from one of the many ships we had. It was working by sail or by rowing.

It's named after the King Haakon Haakonsson

 

In the front, they always put some creatures to scare of the enemy 

  

This one is not a Viking.

Here name was "Madam Felle" and in the old days she had a bar/pub where people could come and get drunk..

  

At the bottom of the statue it shows how they believe it was

  

Back to old history again.

This is the place of the first woman hospital (st. catherine's hospital)

  

  

  

And now at the end we are entering the Bryggen Museum (Harbor museum) 

This is from the old old parts, who was burned down in year 1170

Her is items from excavation and from old buildings in Bergen

On the right you kan see a early model of a ice skate, there is allso a ball and some other stuff.

  

This is a model of the old Bergen around year 1200 - 1300

around year 1300 Bergen was a trading center of European importance. The city had between 5 and 10,000, maybe about 7,000 inhabitants, and was clearly the largest and most important in the country. In European standards was a averige big city.

  

This is one of the Norwegians Kings (Magnus Lagabøte), in old old days Bergen was the capitol of Norway and the place the Kings ruled the country

Cours at work

Today I've been at curs with some people from work. allot of interesting stuff and dinner + beer.
we'll been talking about new solutions and old ones, our coworkers and others and allot of other stuff.
Tomorrow, is day two and the discussion goes on.

Bergen update

Hi.
I'm sitting her and try to write something nice in my blog but it's so hard to find something to wright about.

I could write about the financial crises but the newspapers do that well enough.. I could write about the whether, but thats so boring (raining)

I have a dry period (no alcohol Problem) but from the picturing, autumn is her and the evening darkness comes earlier every day and in the morning it's still dark when i drive to work :-(

At home i have two beautiful girls waiting so i run home as son as possible after work, and after dinner the daylight fade away..
Talking about my girls, our baby is 4 months today and we took allot of pictures for the photo album..

I have found some new blog's lately and some bloggers found me, thats very nice but i wish i had more to offer of pictures to my old and new visitors.
You can all see the blog's i follow but i will not give you any specific, every one of you i follow is nice and some better.

But ofcours i have some that are commenting me and who I'm commenting on a regular bases.
(Kyle and Svet Keeton) in Window to Russia who are in Israel on vacation and are posting pictures and ofcours Helena-skyblu who are writing about here everyday life in USA. If you feel sad because i didn't mention your blog, don't.. It's just to many to list her and you are all to be found in

Bergen pictures

 Then i was here again.
Some new pictures from my hometown.


It was just hanging there, waiting for the owner to come back.
Maybe somebody was partying a bit to hard :-)

 

Somebody had allot of fun

  

The Music pavilion, was given to the city by, some consul F.G. Gade and was built in 1893. It came from Germany as a constructing set and is made in casting steel and wood.

It is still used as a concert scene.

  

He is so angry and i would be to, he has been standing at the same place in many years with the water poring over him :-)

  

The old City Hall.

Built in 1558, the material came from a church in the neighborhood (back then)

After the big city fire in 1702 it was rebuilt.

It is also a part of Norwegian dark history, in the witch process. Where allot of people was killed without justice, i have been writing about this before. Follow this link

Baby update

Today our Princess is 3 months.

She is growing and getting more aware of her surroundings every day. We have done allot of photos today for our album and for the ones who is interested we'll give you a picture too..

DashBlog is the name and it let you post text or images directly with a crop tool.

Fresh start

Yes it's a fresh start.
We are allmous finished putting everything in the right plases. Some boxes is stil left, but we are closer then ever before :-)
I allready shoved you some pictures from the new apartment on my Mobile Blog, so i skip it her. I have some other pictures of cours.

 

This one i took yesterday morning at 06:43, i actually was up one hour earlier then usual, just to get this one.

The picture shows Bergenhus Festning (Bergenhus Fortress) a important historic place in Bergen.

Thise one...
I was actually shooting something else and almost step on this Blåsjell (common/blue mussel) a mussel with a blue shell which is quite common along the Norwegian coast, Mytilus edulis.

Last visit at the old apartment

We are moving :-) part 2

Her we go....
I started 08:00 this morning, and this is first rest sins then (13:40), the apartment we are moving from is in the 4th floor and no elevator. My luck :-) (The new one one floor up)
The new apartment is as i told you, close to the old one and thats good (and bad). Good because we don't have to go far and bad because it's so close it's stupid to use a car.
My brother is coming tomorrow to help me with the heavy stuff, he is the best one. He never say no and always find a way to help.

No pictures today or this weekend, if i take some pictures I'll use the mobile phone.

We are moving :-)

Yes. We are soon moving and i hope the move is going to go better then the change of URL:-)

At the end of this month we are moving in to a nicer apartment, the best part is that the new apartment is in the neighborhood so we don't need to go so far.
The big dilemma is if we should rent a car or if we should carry everything, it's close but not that close...

We are, or more right to say my wife are spending the days packing while I'm at work. On top of that she find time to clean the apartment and iron my shirts.. She is the best :-)

When it comes to pictures, i don't have any new ones, but after a search in the archive i found this..

What should i say about this one ?
It's a nice and well kept car...
