Posting in between..

In between ?, yes we are. Christmas is over and New year is coming.

It has been a while since last posting, and the only excuse i can think of is.. Work, work and no daylight after work.

I hope you all had a merry Christmas and that all your wishes come trough. Our Christmas celebration went very well, for the ones who don't know already . We gathers to eat and open our packages in late afternoon, the 24 of December.

No white Christmas in Bergen, Something has happened. When i was a kid, we had snow for weeks at this time of year.

  

In the morning (09:40) the 24 of December,  Still dark and not so fun to shoot pictures.

  

This last one is taken in the afternoon (16:10) 26 of December, yes it's dark. The shutter was set for 1 sec..

Back from Oslo

I'm back.
This was one of the most interesting and best curs I've done in a long time.

I partly promised some pictures, but the biggest problem is the short time of daylight in wintertime. We spend all day in classroom and when the day was over and we where leaving, it was pitch dark and not the best opportunity to take any photos.

But some i manage to take.

This one is from the flight to Oslo, and shows the Hardangervidden

Autumn is her

It was just a matter of time.
The summer is leaving an we are closer to winter then ever before this year.
But the autumn also bring nice scenery, with beautiful colors and allot of motive for me to picture.

I'll start with a spring picture, this year.

 

And then the same place, this autumn.

Then i want to follow up with a picture from Bryggen i Bergen, taken this summer. For the ones who don't now, Bryggen (bergen Harbor) is on the  UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage.

Then the last one, for now. I'll posted pictures from this fortress before, but it's so nice in the evening with beautiful lighting. It shows Bergenhus Festning (Fortress)

This last picture is actually going to be used in a historical book, who i to be published in spring 2009.
I got the signed contract back some days ago, and i send the picture to the publisher :-)

Oslo here i come

yes I'm going to Oslo.

I'm going to school, and is away for 3 days. I'm bringing the laptop and the camera, so if i have some spare time and feeling bored in the hotel room, i will try to do some photographing and give you some pictures.

Last weekend we where going for a trip and as you can see the whether was ok.


And this is how it was on our way home Sunday, the same weekend.

I couldn't find any info about this place, but i can tel you that it's name is Jordal and it placed 10min with car from bergen, a beautiful place in the sumer..
I took this on my way home after work today 14:30



This one i also took today 07:30, after i drove my wife to work. It's name i Gamlehaugen and if you click this link, you can read more


As you can see, it's allot of low light pictures and thats because in the wintertime our days just get shorter and shorter, you can read more about Polar night here
